Training & Development

FST offers a wide range of training courses and continuing professional development opportunities for theatre and dance practitioners.

Following the incorporation of the Scottish Theatres Technical Training Trust in November 2006 the training department at FST was established. Since 2006 FST has built on the services provided by S4T to offer training opportunities to individuals and organisations working across the sector in areas ranging from technical and administrative day courses to the FST Mentoring Programme and Assistant Director Bursaries.

Individual Learning Accounts

FST is now a registered ILA Scotland provider. Through ILA Scotland those who are normally resident in Scotland and earning £18,000 or less are eligible to receive funding of up to £200 per annum. FST courses appear on the ILA Scotland database and qualify for the funding. Please contact the FST office for more information.
