Highlands and Islands Theatre Network

The Highlands and Islands Theatre Network (HITN) is a network of 22 professional Theatre / Dance Companies,individuals and producing venues based in the North of Scotland. HITN supports it's members through regular network / training meetings and developing specific national and international collaborative projects and the development of an online talent directory for the North of Scotland.
HITN aims to promote and sustain the theatre sector in the North of Scotland taking into account the sparse population and geographical challenges faced by rurally based performance makers.
Through consortium working with PAN (Promoters Arts Network), NEAT (North East Arts Touring)and HI-Arts on the new Northern Scottish Touring Fund (NSTF) Scottish theatre and dance companies are supported to create and showcase their work in the rural North of Scotland in 2011/2012
