Enhancing employees' skills will bring real benefits to your business including improved productivity and a stronger more confident workforce.

Skills Development Scotland have detailed a list of the types and levels of training that are eligible for support. These are:

• Qualifications including individual units
• Masterclasses
• Learning based on National Occupational Standards
• Industry recognised qualifications
• First line supervisory management
• Workshops
• Taster sessions

Funding is available for up to 10 employees per business and the money is not a loan so there's no need to pay it back. They will refund up to 50% of each episode of employee training up to a maximum of £500.

For example, if an episode of training costs £1200, they will refund £500. If it costs £300, the refund will be £150.

To apply call the helpline free on 0800 783 6000.

Free Filming Offer from Enterprise Screen

Non-Profit Film Offer

As a multi-media and creative company Enterprise Screen is keen to broaden our work with charities and non-profit organisations. Until the end of September 2010, ESP are offering the chance to create a short film-product that can be used in a variety of settings with no charge for filming or pre-production.

We would welcome the opportunity to hear if you have any ideas of how this special offer could work for your organisation. It may be useful to consider a film to further the campaign for funds and support, inform service users and groups, lobby elected members or simply celebrate some of the successes of the past year. We are very experienced in covering live events, presentations and campaigns as well as making short, informative and engaging films for web, presentation and DVD use.

We work with many similar organisations currently and are experienced in bringing out the essence of what makes a charity special.
