Creative & Cultural Skills Scotland Leadership Programme - 2010 Programme is open for applications Wednesday, 24 February 2010

The second year of the programme will focus on Future Leaders in an intensive one day a month development programme beginning in May 2010 and running to March 2011. We are adding an evening master class this year for the participants to meet leadership figures from the sector and hear about their personal insights in leadership. This will also be open to senior leaders for a small fee (which will be announced separately).

The Future Leaders programme has 16 places available and we are delighted that the Scottish Arts Council is continuing with their bursary support for a limited number of eligible candidates to cover up to 75% of the £2000 fee.

Some of last year’s programme participants made some extraordinary progress towards their goals. The programme involves a supportive group of emerging leaders from the creative and cultural sector, working together in action learning sets to tackle real challenges in their organisations, with mentoring support, and intensive seminars (contextualised in the creative sector) and real-life examples from leaders in the creative and cultural field sharing their experience, tips and expertise.

If you have any queries please do contact Caroline Parkinson at CCSkills Scotland office on Tel: 0131 225 8125.

Application closes on the 31st March 2010

IETM Bursaries Launched

IETM is the most significant membership organisation for contemporary theatre, dance and performance in Europe and holds two plenary meetings each year. (www.ietm.org)

IETM plenary meetings are industry events aimed at promoters, producers and artists working across contemporary performance practice in Europe and beyond. The main focus of an IETM plenary meeting is to create a stimulating environment for the membership to meet, network and engage in critical dialogue. During the period of the meeting, the local host mounts a performance programme for the visiting delegates and the public.

Creative Scotland in partnership with IETM members in Scotland is hosting the next plenary meeting in Glasgow from the 4-7 November 2010.

Hosting an IETM meeting in Glasgow in 2010, will be an opportunity to celebrate the artistic vibrancy of that city and of Scotland, feeding the curiosity of the artists who make their work here by encouraging and creating new links. We are interested in hosting an event which generates conversations between artists and producers from different parts of Europe and beyond which will spark ideas and possibilities of exchange and collaboration.

The Glasgow event is funded by Creative Scotland, Glasgow Life, Glasgow Marketing Bureau and the British Council.

Free Filming Offer from Enterprise Screen

Non-Profit Film Offer

As a multi-media and creative company Enterprise Screen is keen to broaden our work with charities and non-profit organisations. Until the end of September 2010, ESP are offering the chance to create a short film-product that can be used in a variety of settings with no charge for filming or pre-production.

We would welcome the opportunity to hear if you have any ideas of how this special offer could work for your organisation. It may be useful to consider a film to further the campaign for funds and support, inform service users and groups, lobby elected members or simply celebrate some of the successes of the past year. We are very experienced in covering live events, presentations and campaigns as well as making short, informative and engaging films for web, presentation and DVD use.

We work with many similar organisations currently and are experienced in bringing out the essence of what makes a charity special.
