Dublin Fringe Festival invites submissions for 2010 ABSOLUT Fringe Tuesday, 12 January 2010

Dublin Fringe Festival has always been the natural home of artists who are ambitious, adventurous, innovative and fearless, and who make work in all kinds of places and spaces around Dublin city. This year, a continued emphasis will be placed on new work that reclaims more of our city's empty spaces and experiments with performance and experiential arts on a grand and minute scale. In 2010 the festival will have a particular focus on works that engage with the theme of community, to be interpreted as liberally and imaginatively as possible by the artists we work with. Too often 'community' becomes a byword for disadvantage and exclusion where the myriad possibilities of community, both on and offline are ignored. Dublin Fringe Festival would like to re-imagine the idea of community in 2010. To do this, we need you, artists and thinkers, to make it happen. We want to hear your ideas whether you work in theatre, music, dance, visual art, street-art, film, multi-media or beyond.

All the relevant application info, links to the application form and FAQs can be found on our website: www.fringefest.com

The deadline for applications is Fri Mar 12th at 6pm. We will host a Pre-Application workshop on Wed Feb 10th at 6.30pm to answer all your questions about the festival, how to apply, what we're looking for and anything else we or you can think of. And remember, the deadline for MAKE applications is Fri Jan 18th.

Free Filming Offer from Enterprise Screen

Non-Profit Film Offer

As a multi-media and creative company Enterprise Screen is keen to broaden our work with charities and non-profit organisations. Until the end of September 2010, ESP are offering the chance to create a short film-product that can be used in a variety of settings with no charge for filming or pre-production.

We would welcome the opportunity to hear if you have any ideas of how this special offer could work for your organisation. It may be useful to consider a film to further the campaign for funds and support, inform service users and groups, lobby elected members or simply celebrate some of the successes of the past year. We are very experienced in covering live events, presentations and campaigns as well as making short, informative and engaging films for web, presentation and DVD use.

We work with many similar organisations currently and are experienced in bringing out the essence of what makes a charity special.
