A highly charged and
compelling dance-theatre
piece, A Wee Home From
Home explores the dizzying
emotions and memories that
one man's homecoming can
provoke. Told with affection
and wandering through other
familiar territory that would
rather be forgotten, the show
is a roller coaster ride down
an unpredictable memory lane.
Frank McConnell's inspired
and well-observed choreography
perfectly partners the caustic and heart breaking
observations contained in Michael Marra's exceptional
live music. Powerful, telling and humorous, this is one
homecoming not to be missed!

"what
really scores is the bantering, almost vaudevillian between McConnell and
Marr. Amazingly talented and both men true to form" - The Herald.

Here's what the Programming
Panel said:
The panel were drawn to the nostalgic and culturally relevant themes of this production, it is a Scottish piece but with universal resonance. Combining music, theatre and dance from two of Scotland's most celebrated artists the panel feel it is important that work embodying Scotland in this manner should be present in the showcase.
