FST undertakes advocacy at a national level with government and funding bodies, co-ordinates capacity building initiatives and provides training, advice and other services to members to secure the creative future of theatre and dance in Scotland.

The Federation of Scottish Theatre exists:

made in scotland   Bumper programme for Made in Scotland 2010 announced

The Made in Scotland showcase returns presenting some of the finest Scottish work at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Funded by the Scottish Government’s Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund, last year’s showcase contained some of the festival’s biggest hits with 6 Scottish companies claiming top festival awards, 9 benefiting from international touring opportunities after the festival and all receiving widespread critical acclaim.

This year’s programme promises to be just as exciting showcasing 14 companies and artists representing an eclectic and diverse programme of dance, theatre, site-specific performance and work for children. The programme has been especially selected by a distinguished panel of programmers, cultural managers and commentators.

Free Filming Offer from Enterprise Screen

Non-Profit Film Offer

As a multi-media and creative company Enterprise Screen is keen to broaden our work with charities and non-profit organisations. Until the end of September 2010, ESP are offering the chance to create a short film-product that can be used in a variety of settings with no charge for filming or pre-production.

We would welcome the opportunity to hear if you have any ideas of how this special offer could work for your organisation. It may be useful to consider a film to further the campaign for funds and support, inform service users and groups, lobby elected members or simply celebrate some of the successes of the past year. We are very experienced in covering live events, presentations and campaigns as well as making short, informative and engaging films for web, presentation and DVD use.

We work with many similar organisations currently and are experienced in bringing out the essence of what makes a charity special.
