Access Scottish Theatre

“Excellent! Comparison of information on the page is easy to use”

Access Scottish Theatre is a pilot and part of the Federation of Scottish Theatre’s Access Project.  The project has published 3 Access Scottish Theatre guides and circulated 9 monthly e:bulletins to date.  We are now evaluating the pilot and you can take part in this by filling in our online audience survey Click here to take survey.  If you would rather go through this survey over the phone please call Mairi Taylor on 0131 248 4842 or email mairi@scottishtheatre.com for a hard copy.

The Access Scottish Theatre guide contains useful information about accessible performances and venues across Scotland. We think that it is important that you have all the information you need to make bookings, get to the venue and enjoy yourself when you are there!

The full print guide is split in to 3 main sections – at-a-glance; listings of accessible performances: and venues. The listings and venue pages are ordered by city. We have been talking to audiences about their experiences and quotes and suggestions from other audience members are included on the venue pages.

You can download plain text and PDF versions of the guide, get in touch to request an audio CD or print copy, visit www.youtube.com/user/BSLscottishtheatre to find information about the guide and theatres in BSL or sign up for our monthly e:bulletin below.

About the Access Project

The FST Access Project is a direct development of FST taking over the coordination of captioning in Scotland in 2007. Since then FST has been working with the sector, partner organisations and audiences to improve access to theatres in Scotland. The project includes the audience development project Access Scottish Theatre and BSL Scottish Theatre, training projects, development of information resources, as well as the ongoing development of Captioning. FST and the Access Project are committed to working to embed access across the strategic and operational activities of the theatre sector in Scotland.
